Alan Rickman, the legendary English actor, gained immense acclaim for his role as Severus Snape in the ‘Harry Potter’ film series since 2001 to 2011. The actor took his last breath on January 14, 2016 at the age of 69. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2015, just few months before his death.
The entire world mourned on his death, as he is still loved by everyone internationally and the diehard fans of ‘Harry Potter’. Even in the recently released ‘Harry Potter’s reunion special documentary for its twentieth anniversary, ‘Return To Hogwarts’ paid a special tribute to Alan Rickman. Fans have flooded showing their love for Rickman on social media on January 14 and it shows how much he is been missed deeply by fans.
Not only ‘Harry Potter’, but Rickman had also given several other remarkable films in the ‘80s and ‘90s like ‘Die Hard’ (1988), ‘The January Man’ (1989), ‘Truly, Madly, Deeply’ (1991), ‘Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves’ (1991), ‘An Awfully Big Adventure’ (1995), ‘Dark Harbor’ (1998), ‘Galaxy Quest’ (1999) among others.
Rickman had earned numerous prestigious accolades such as three British Academy Film Awards, one Golden Globe Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards, one Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association Award, one People’s Choice Award and many more.
Alan Rickman was last seen in Walt Disney’s ‘Alice Through The Looking Glass’, which released on May 10, 2016, after his death.
