Actress Patralekhaa, of ‘Citylight’ (2014) fame, will essay the role of Savitribai Phule in Ananth Narayan Mahadevan’s next directorial ‘Phule’. The actress took to her Instagram to post some behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot and shared the multiple-picture post with the caption, “Week that was.. Photo Dump.”
Patralekhaa uploaded a picture of her in the character and also some tranquil photos of the lovely sky along with a super-glam selfie, which left her followers wanting for more. Patralekhaa’s husband and actor Rajkummar Rao, as well as actress Sonali Bendre, reacted to the post with red-heart emojis.
Patralekhaa discussed the challenges of portraying such a well-known personality without any visual support in one of her most recent interviews. She revealed that she only had access to handwritten writings and poems written by Savitribai Phule.
Besides ‘Phule’, Patralekhaa will next be seen in a Luv Ranjan production. She also recently completed filming for director Anubhav Sinha’s upcoming project. She has also got interesting projects which include ‘Heer Sara Aur Pondicherry’, a Netflix Original, the web series ‘Gulkanda Tales’, etc.
