Cast and filmmakers from ‘The Last Duel’ (2021) are in Europe this week to celebrate the upcoming release of the historical epic based on actual events. Jodie Comer was in London last night for the film’s U.K. premiere at the Odeon Luxe Cinema in London’s iconic Leicester Square, and Jodie Comer, Ridley Scott, Nicole Holofcener, Alex Lawther and Zoé Bruneau attended the French premiere in Paris at the Gaumont Champs-Elysées Theater earlier today. ‘The Last Duel’ opens in Indian Theaters soon.
‘The Last Duel’ is a gripping tale of betrayal and vengeance set against the brutality of 14th century France. A cinematic and thought-provoking drama set in the midst of the Hundred Years War, the film explores the ubiquitous power of men, the frailty of justice and the strength and courage of one woman willing to stand alone in the service of truth. Based on actual events, the film unravels long-held assumptions about France’s last sanctioned duel between Jean de Carrouges and Jacques Le Gris, two friends turned bitter rivals.

Filming of ‘The Last Duel’ took place in numerous breathtaking locations in France and Ireland in 2020, with some of France’s most majestic and well-preserved castles serving as backdrops to the medieval tale.
