‘Chup: Revenge Of The Artist’, directed by R Balki, got loads of acclaim for its direction and unique plot. It told the story of a man who goes on a killing spree, murdering film critics. A determined cop is given the task of nabbing him. How the madness unfolds forms the crux of the film.
The film had its grand release on September 23 and grabbed audiences’ attention quite evidently. The performances of Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhatt and Shreya Dhanwanthary and especially Dulquer Salmaan achieved immense positive reviews from the critics. The direction, music, cinematography, sound design, editing, production design etc were also highly praised. At the box office, it had a decent opening as it happened to release on National Cinema Day, when the tickets were priced at just Rs. 75.
On November 25, the makers finally premiered ‘Chup: Revenge Of The Artist’ on Zee5 and since then, it has also left a mark on OTT too. Yesterday, Sunny Deol shared that the film has garnered a whopping thirty million plus views within twenty-four hours of its premiere on Zee5.
