Amit Kumar, who is not only known as the son of legendary Kishore Kumar, but also as an established playback singer in the Hindi film industry, turned 71 years old on July 3. Although he mostly focused on singing for Hindi films with R.D. Burman, Bappi Lahiri and Anu Malik, the talented singer has also played in several of his father’s home productions such ‘Door Gagan Ki Chhaon Mein’ (1964), ‘Door Ka Raahi’ (1971), ‘Badhti Ka Naam Dadhi’ (1974)’ and ‘Chalti Ka Naam Zindagi’ (1982).
Amit Kumar celebrated his 71st birthday in a grand way at One8 Restaurant with family and a few friends. He shared a number of pictures from the celebration where he proudly displayed all thirteen cakes, gifted by his fans on his birthday.
