Will Smith, who won the prestigious Oscar this year for his film ‘King Richard’ (2021), was spotted at the Mumbai airport on Saturday morning. This is the first time he made his appearance in front of the media, after the slap incident at the 94th Academy Awards Show. He was seen wearing a white t-shirt along with a big smile on his face.
Smith came to visit the spiritual leader, Sadhguru in India. He was also seen interacting with the airport authorities and paparazzi, laughing around and clicking pictures with them. Smith has been banned from attending any Academy events for the next ten years by the organization.
This is not the first time Smith visited India. He also came in India in 2019 for the shooting of his show ‘The Bucket List’. He also made a grand guest appearance in the film ‘Student Of The Year 2’, which released in the same year, where he was seen dancing in the song “The Jawani Song” along with all the leading stars Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria, Ananya Panday and Aditya Seal.
The renowned comedian-actor, Vir Das made a sarcastic comment on Will Smith’s visiting India. He wrote on Instagram, “Will Smith is in India? Good. He can learn to stop slapping comedians with his hands and start slapping them with legal cases.” The post went viral within few hours and fans have flooded commenting on the topic.
