While most of 2020 was spent in lockdown, the film industry and fans are looking at 2021 with a lot of hopes and expectations. However, after the second wave of Covid-19, another lockdown was declared in India. Thus, many scheduled theatrical releases had been pushed further.
‘Brahmāstra’ is one of the most awaited film of 2021. Despite the numerous delays the film makers and the fans haven’t lost faith yet. It was scheduled to release last year in December but it got delayed because of Ranbir Kapoor’s Covid positive report.
‘Brahmāstra’ is an upcoming superhero trilogy movie directed by Ayan Mukherji. The movie features a star cast of some of the biggest stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna, Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy. The Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios haven’t announced its release date yet, which has given rise to many questions.
The main reason of the delay is because there are multiple big releases lined up this year. The movies that have got Ayan Mukerji and Karan Johar worried are, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Prithviraj’, Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Jersey’, Tiger shroff’s ‘Heropanti 2’ and Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’.
However few sources assured that, ‘Brahmāstra’ will be releasing post Diwali, probably in November end or early December of this year, 2021 or it can shift the date to early 2022.
