Deepika Padukone was once heavily attacked for auctioning off her attire which she wore at the late actress Jiah Khan’s funeral.
Deepika auctioned off the funeral outfit in 2021, which shocked everyone. It was stated that the money raised from the auction will be donated to charity. A Twitter user noticed that the image of Deepika’s short kurti on the auction website was the same as the one that she wear to Jiah’s funeral and she sold it online for Rs. 8000.
Not only that, the actress also auctioned off the kurta she wore at Priyanka Chopra’s father, late Ashok Chopra’s funeral in 2013 it for Rs. 2,700.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika Padukone, who was recently seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ (2023), is currently starring in a number of high-profile projects, including ‘Fighter’ with Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Anand, ‘Project K’ with Prabhas and ‘Singham Again’ with Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn.
It’s interesting to note that the actress is collaborating with these leading actors for the first time in her career of sixteen years.
