Independent music has bloomed beautifully this year and leading the rise is the music record label, Sony Music India. In line with the label’s goal to bring fresh music to Gen Z, it announces the pop debut of actor-singer, Taaruk. The promising artist will be bringing to listeners a heartbreak song titled, “Sukoon” that will release on the November 24.
Composed by Taaruk, Charan and Bruno Mota from Redmojo (Portugal-based production house), sung by Taaruk and written by him and Charan, “Sukoon” features the singer and the digital sensation, Aisha Ahmed. Taaruk is an actor, dancer, performer, and singer who is a regular face on Indian television, OTT platforms, and films. He is best known for playing the titular character on the BookMyShow Musical Disney’s ‘Aladdin’ (2018), through which he left a lasting impression on the critics and viewers. Only recently he was seen in the Netflix Original ‘Mismatched’ (2020) as part of the ensemble cast that includes Prajakta Koli, Rohit Saraf and Rannvijay Singha.
To be seen in “Sukoon” as the singer’s love interest, Aisha is a very popular face in the web series space, TV ads, and social media short content circuit, She is best remembered for her role in the web series ‘Adulting’ (2018) and has also starred in the hugely acclaimed music video of “Sage” by Ritviz and the heartfelt “Nothing For Our Own” by Hanita Bhambri.
Happy at the association with Sony Music India, Taaruk says, “I am overwhelmed that a song that has stayed with me for so long will finally be at the fingertips of listeners around the world. “Sukoon” is slated to release on November 24.
