Vicky Kaushal has been persistently surprising us from past few years with prodigious roles in war, historical, action, thriller, several films like ‘Raazi’ (2018), ‘URI: The Surgical Strike’ (2019), ‘Sardar Udham’ (2021) among others. Now it’s time for him to come out of these serious genres and make his fans give relief by doing some comedy. And hence, Kaushal will be next seen in ‘Govinda Naam Mera’, where he is portraying a playful character as Govinda.
As of we know, ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ is a story about a very charming man, Govinda Waghmare, who juggles his time and love between his wife Mrs. Waghmare and his girlfriend in this dose of chaos, confusion and laughter. The film also stars Bhumi Pedenkar as Govinda’s wife, Mrs. Waghmare and Kiara Advani as Govinda’s naughty girlfriend in the leads. The Shashank Khaitan-directorial was announced last year by Karan Johar of Dharma Productions.
Yesterday, Vicky and Karan had a fun discussion about ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ at Karan’s house. In the video we can see both of them are having good laughs while Karan explaining the story of ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ to Vicky in a satirical way. As Karan one-by-one described Govinda character, Vicky Kaushal is seen getting more and more disappointed. As Vicky has only done serious genre films till now, he expected something serious from ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ too. But after hearing about the simple and hilarious story, Vicky became super upset.
Later when Karan asked Vicky about his schedules, Vicky seems to avoid Karan by telling him that he has got a very busy schedule with other films so he cannot accept ‘Govinda Naam Mera’s offer and this makes Karan anger out at Vicky.
As Karan got angry, to console him, Vicky asked Karan to give him some other film as it’s a dream for him to work with Dharma Productions. In reply, Karan gave a big laugh and accepted his request and revealed that he has got a far better project for Vicky, which is ‘Student Of The Year 3’. After hearing about the offer, Vicky gave a horrible face with pained expression while looking at the camera.
The video has absolutely made netizens’ stomach hurt with laughter as they flooded commenting laugh emojis. Surely it was quite entertaining to watch both of them having so much fun and hence we expect ‘Govinda Naam Mera’ won’t disappoint us. The film is soon to have an OTT release only on Disney+ Hotstar.
