Even though Sohail Sen has done only a handful of films in his eight year long career, most of his work has been appreciated by the listeners. The composer has worked with the likes of Ashutosh Gowariker and Aditya Chopra and has earned accolades for his music in films like ‘What’s Your Raashee?’, ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’, ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Gunday’.
Though the music of his last film Gunday was well received by the listeners, the composer disappeared for almost two years. The good news is that he is back! Though Sohail prefers to work on films that feature him as the solo composer, he seems to have made an exception for Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull 3. The film, which has multiple music directors associated with it, has one track “Taang Uthake” put to tune by Sohail Sen.
In fact, Sohail’s father Sameer Sen, who incidentally had composed the music of Sajid Nadiadwala’s maiden production ‘Zulm Ki Hukumat’ way back in 1992 with partner Dilip Sen, has co-written the track with director duo Sajid-Farhad. The track which was unveiled recently has amassed a huge number of views on YouTube and is expected to be a club favourite in the days to come.
