‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’ is a keenly awaited Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer directed by Luv Ranjan, the director who has already seen great success with his last directorial release, ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ (2018). The film is a scheduled for release on March 8. The film was recently certified U/A by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), with an approved runtime of 159-minutes (2 hours and 39 minutes). The romantic comedy-drama has so far seen a good response to its trailer and songs, and it is expected that the film will be able to attract audiences back to the theatres.
As per sources, the makers of the film are targeting a limited theatrical release. The sources have claimed that release is targeted across metropolises and multiplexes, as the film has no connection with audiences in small centers. The film doesn’t have any competition for three weeks, and thus it will be enjoying an open run at the box office.
The limited advance sales for the film opened on Friday, and the full-fledged advance bookings for the film will begin on Sunday March 5, three days before its release. Based on the release size, hype and limited release, the film is expected to take a double-digit opening. The opening will be considered average if it opens below expectations, even considering the limited release of the film. Taking into consideration the presence of Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, as well as the superhit music, it needs to secure a double-digit opening.
