Shahid Kapoor is back in the action thriller space with ‘Bloody Daddy’, following his portrayal of a con artist in the Amazon Prime Video series ‘Farzi’ (2023). Audiences responded favourably to the film’s initial teaser which was released last month and they have been eagerly awaiting the official trailer. It now appears that their wait will soon be over. The trailer of Ali Abbas Zafar-directorial will be launched at an event organized by the makers at the Mumbai’s JW Marriott Hotel on Wednesday, May 24.
‘Bloody Daddy’, billed as a highly stylized, never-ending, action-packed drama, will be release directly on the OTT platform Jio Cinema on June 9.
The Shahid Kapoor led film is said to be the official remake of the French film ‘Sleepless Nights’ (2011) and it also features Rajeev Khandelwal, Ronit Roy, Sanjay Kapoor and Diana Penty in important roles.
The Ali Abbas Zafar directed film marks Shahid’s venture into the full-fledged action drama space after a long time. Shahid fans have been eagerly waiting to see their favourite star performing deadly action on the big screen again. As a result, the decision of the makers to release the film directly on a digital platform have upset his admirers.
