“Agar tujh mein dum hai, toh tu ab mujhe rok ke dikha” – the way Salman Khan delivers this dialogue, with all the right intonations, one would not be surprised if the crowd, sitting in a packed theatre, goes berserk and starts whistling and clapping after hearing these lines in their favourite superstar’s voice. ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, released five years back, was screaming for a sequel and Ali Abbas Zafar, who teamed up with Khan for the very successful ‘Sultan’ last year, joins hands with the superstar again for the sequel to the Kabir Khan directed espionage saga. The teaser poster, released a year back, proclaimed that the film is about an Indian RAW agent and a Pakistani ISI agent joining hands to combat a common enemy, terrorism. The premise itself seemed so exciting that one’s excitement for the film shot up by leaps and bounds.
The trailer lives up to the humungous expectations and how! While ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ was a love story at the core of it, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ is touted to be an out-and-out action thriller. Speaking of action, it seems to be far more in quantity than what one has got to see in ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ or perhaps in any other Indian film so far. The voiceover, provided by director Ali Abbas Zafar , sets the tone for the trailer. The trailer also introduces us to the basic conflict and the main antagonist of the film. The grandeur, scale and the stylised action sequences are breath-taking to say the least. By the time the credit roll appears on the screen, you crave to see more of the film. The trailer has definitely made one look forward to a dhamakedaar Christmas!
