Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s directorial ‘The Kashmir Files’ is currently creating a lot of buzz in the entertainment world after its release on March 11. Although the film was quite underrated and was less hyped before its release, but after release, it overshadowed the hype of recently released ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘Radhe Shyam’ or about to release ‘KGF Chapter 2’, ‘RRR’, ‘Bachchan Pandey’ among others.
Not only in Bollywood, ‘The Kashmir Files’ has also managed to leave numerous legendary Hollywood movies behind like ‘The Godfather’ (1972), ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ (1994), ‘Forest Gump’ (1994), ‘The Dark Knight’ (2008), ‘Inception’ (2010), etc., and already grabbed the top spot on IMDb. The film has got ten on ten rating and ranked the number one mark in IMDb’s list.
‘The Kashmir Files’ has got a stellar star cast like Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Prakash Belawadi, Puneet Issar and Darshan Kumar. Despite the fact, the film has faced many troubles from political parties and suffered oppositions before, but that couldn’t stop the film to release or censored any scenes. ‘The Kashmir Files’ has opened with an auspicious box office collection and it collected Rs. 3.55 crores on its opening day.
‘The Kashmir Files’ is based on a true story of the exodus of Kashmiri Hindu Pandits during the early days of Kashmir Insurgency in the valley.
