Our very own Indian actor, Dhanush’s Hollywood debut is making headlines ever since its announcement. ‘The Gray Man’ releases today, July 22 and audiences are super thrilled to watch Dhanush in a different avatar as Avik San aka Lone Wolf, who is an assassin and a killer machine. He has got barely any dialogues, as per reports and his character gets an assignment to kill Sierra Six (Ryan Gosling).
On Wednesday, July 20 the directors of ‘The Gray Man’, Russo Brothers came to India to promote the film and were seen in Mumbai along with Dhanush. Dhanush had opted for a South’s traditional attire, Veshti. Joe Russo was seen dressed up in a white shirt, grey blazer and blue pant while Anthony Russo was seen wearing a white shirt, red blazer and grey pant.
At the Indian premiere, the directors had a media interaction, where they were asked if they have got any plan to do further projects with Dhanush and in reply Anthony Russo shared that they had received several requests from people, not only in India but all over the world to watch more of Dhanush. Joe Russo added that Dhanush’s character Lone Wolf is based on a character in ‘The Gray Man’ novel and so there is always a possibility of making more movies in ‘The Gray Man’ franchise featuring Dhanush.
“The film is based on a book series, so there is the opportunity to expand in a sense in future movies. We love to keep going with our world, because we love our characters. But maybe the audience can tell as what they want to see more in the story about. If we do continue forward with the story, I can guarantee you that Dhanush’s character would be a part of that world, moving forward”, Russo Brothers further continued.
The film ‘The Gray Man’ is based on Mark Greanery’s namesake book, published in 2009 and Dhanush said at the premiere, “We did work on the back story of the character of Lone Wolf with the Russo brothers and that is a story in itself.”
