The Queen Elizabeth ll breathed her last on Thursday, September 8 in the afternoon at her Balmoral estate at the age of 96. The Queen conquered the throne in 1952 and had completed her Platinum Jubilee of 70 years in April, 2022. Her son, King Charles lll, announced the news with great sorrow and said, “We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished sovereign and a much-loved mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the realms and the Commonwealth and by countless people around the world.”
New Prime Minister of Britain, Lizz Truzz, who got appointed by the Late Queen Elizabeth ll recently on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 shared that the monarch had provided, “The stability and strength that we needed.” While talking about the new King, Truzz said, “We offer him our loyalty and devotion, just as his mother devoted so much, to so many, for so long. And with the passing of the second Elizabethan age, we usher in a new era in the magnificent history of our great country, exactly as Her Majesty would have wished, by saying the words god save the King.”
According to Variety, we got to know that Netflix’s famous drama, ‘The Crown’s shooting for Season 6 has been postponed by the makers yesterday in honour of the Queen’s death. The series was in the middle of its shooting for the last and sixth Season.
‘The Crown’ was first premiered in 2016 on Netflix. The series is a historical drama about the reign of the Queen Elizabeth II, created and principally written by Peter Morgan and produced by Left Bank Pictures and Sony Pictures Television. Actresses Claire Foy, Olivia Colman and Imelda Staunton have portrayed the role of Queen Elizabeth ll respectively.
