Marvel Studios’ ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ creates a history at the box office in India. It has already broken the records of Marvel’s previous movies such as ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ (2018), which had collected Rs 31 crore and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (2019), which had also collected Rs 31 crore on their opening days respectively in India. ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ has collected Rs 35 crore on its first day, even after releasing on a working Thursday on December 16 and not on stereotypical Friday.
Even ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ has also left behind ‘Sooryavanshi’, which is the first Bollywood movie till now, collected Rs 26.50 crore post lockdown on its first day of release in 2021.
Despite releasing in limited theatres in various countries, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ has earned $43.6 million already, both domestically and internationally. The multiple big stars in the film such as Tom Holland, Zendaya, Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Benedict Cumberbatch, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Thomas Haden Church, Jamie Fox, Marisa Tomei, Rhys Ifans and Harry Holland and the trailer and promos have literally teased the audiences much more than any other Spidey movies. Even before the release, the rumour of joining all the previous Spider-Man stars such as Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield along with Tom Holland had made ‘No Way Home’ much more thrilling and grabbed the attention of audiences and finally it broke all the records of Marvel movies.
Now, it seems like even opening on Thursday has paid off and the box office collection is going to rise much more on Saturday and Sunday.
