The music legend passed away on Friday at 1:04pm IST. SP Balasubrahmanyam (SPB) was admitted at the Intensive Care Unit of MGM Healthcare Chennai for over a month. The singer died of a cardio-respiratory arrest. His mortal remains will be taken to his farmhouse on the outskirts of Chennai tonight, and he will be laid to rest there post 10:30am IST tomorrow. The singer had been admitted at MGM Healthcare since August 5 after he tested positive for coronavirus and he tested negative for Covid-19 on September 5.
SPB is survived by wife Savithri, son SPB Charan and daughter Pallavi.
