Sonu Sood is regarded as one of the fittest actors in the film industry, if not the fittest. Even industry insiders always speak highly of Sonu’s fitness regime whenever the topic comes.
Everyone remembers the fact that when Ranveer Singh came along with the cast of ‘Simmba’ at ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ recently, he expressed his admiration and love for Sonu’s physique when he said, “We all have to maintain our body as per the film schedule. We scout for abs only before it’s required to be shown but Sonu Sood is ripped and chiseled 24/7 and 365 days. He is the real fitness icon.” True words for sure, Ranveer.
But behind that mesmerizing and jaw dropping physique goes in a lot of hard work and effort and most importantly, an addiction free disciplined lifestyle.
Sonu hails from the state of Punjab, which is that one state in India that is the most affected due to the dangerous and detrimental drug menace. Several campaigns have been done to eradicate the influence of drugs from the youth of Punjab but all seemed to have failed. The movie, ‘Udta Punjab’ (2016) starring Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan was largely based on the Punjab drug scenario.
Even after all the measures having failed, Sonu seems to have taken it to himself to do his bit to remove the drug menace from Punjab and being the quintessential fitness icon, he is the ideal person to inspire the youth to do so. In favour of Captain Amarinder Singh’s tweet, the reigning Chief Minister of Punjab who has directed the Punjab Police to act against the influence of drugs, Sonu recently tweeted.
With Captain Amarinder Singh’s leadership upfront, a person who has a military background of a strong and disciplined server of the nation and Sonu’s support combined, the drug scenario in Punjab should hopefully be totally removed very soon in order to achieve a #nashamuktpunjab (Drug-Free Punjab) for real.
