Elite members and notable celebrities from different fields were present on the occasion of Lokhandwala Baisakhi Utsav /Poila Boisakh (1429), on April 15, 2022.
Somu Mitra (Founder and member of Creative Connection Charitable Trust), Nyra Banerjee (VIP member), Jaya Bhattacharya (VIP member), playback singer, Sanchita Bhattacharya (SA RE GA MA PA Lil Champ winner) and Saptak Bhattacharya (Playback singer) all attended the celebration.
Creative Connection Charitable Trust, a non-profit organisation dedicated to help people in vulnerable situations hosted their 6th and 7th year of Poila Boishakh (Baisakhi Utsav) where they supported the education of underprivileged kids along with amazing dance and music programs by renowned celebrities and artist coming together for a noble cause.
The event also saw the presence of Sunil Pal, Nandita Das, Arbind Singh, Kingshuk Sir, Mr. Joy, Nandita Puri and Amit Nangia.
Shomu Mitra said, “The celebration is a symbol of purity and peace. Combining the culture and spiritual context of the festival of Poila Boishakh ( Baisakhi Utsav) marked the day as children, adults and stars from Bollywood and Bengali entertainment industry joined in the festivities. We want to bring all the cultures together be it Punjabi or Bengali. Every event hosted by Creative Connection Charitable Trust aims towards noble causes. This year we supported education of many underprivileged children. We had renowned Bollywood celebs. This was our way of wishing everyone a prosperous Poila Boishakh.”
Mumbai was soaked in festive colors of wisdom, culture, education and prosperity at the celebration of Poila Boishakh (Baisakhi Utsav) spearheaded by Shomu Mitra. Baisakhi, the festival of harvest and new year for Bengalis, was celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm with a large number of people from all religions, including women and children, participating in the celebrations.
