Behind every breath of freedom and free air, there are countless stories of sacrifices and hence, the Government of India has come forward to pledge their support to the families of our martyred heroes with an initiative by bringing a web portal, which enables to contribute towards the Armed Forces Battle Casualties Welfare Fund (AFBCWF).
Previously, from the entertainment industry, Amitabh Bachchan had come forward to support and promote the initiative in association with the Government of India. This time, Sidharth Malhotra has come out to enlighten the Indian citizens about Maa Bharati Ke Sapoot.
The 37-year-old actor had attended the launch ceremony of Maa Bharati Ke Sapoot web portal at an event, organised by the government at National War Memorial Complex in New Delhi yesterday, October 15. The event was also attended by Defence Minister of India, Rajnath Singh, as chief guest.
Sidharth Malhotra illuminated the world about the martyred Caption Vikram Batra from Indian Army with his outstanding performance in ‘Shershaah’ (2021) and there’s no doubt that he has absolutely touched our hearts and made our eyes moist. In various preceding interviews, Malhotra had expressed his gratitude and honour for giving him the chance to play the role of Vikram Batra.
Now getting invited as a guest to apprise about Maa Bharati Ke Sapoot, Sidharth felt euphoric while talking about the initiative and its importance. He started the speech while sharing his childhood memories about his father, Sunil Malhotra, who was a Captain in Merchant Navy. He talked about the disciplinary and honoured life they spend.
On the social media, Sidharth again shared his thoughts about Maa Bharati Ke Sapoot and affirmed that he felt proud to have been a part of such event and validated that the initiative will give an opportunity to us to unite and show our gratitude and respect to Indian Army for protecting us.
