Karan Malhotra’s directorial.’Shamshera’, tries to project an extravagant rebellion. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor, the trailer indicates that the film is about a son’s aim to complete his father’s mission. Ranbir plays both the father and the son and from the trailer, it’s confusing as the storyline seems unclear. Sanjay Dutt plays the villain and looks fabulous.
Set in the 19th century, the makers are releasing the film in IMAX and the scale of the set looks very grand. Ranbir’s getup too looks impressive. Vaaniplays his love interest and has very little screen time in the trailer but looks gorgeous.
This movie marks Ranbir Kapoor’s big-screen comeback after 2018’s Sanju. He will also be seen in Ayan Mukerji’sBrahmastra in September.
The movie will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on July 22.
