Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a cop uniform for the first time in his 31-year career in the upcoming film ‘Jawan’. He previously played a cop in ‘One 2 Ka 4’ (2001), but he was not seen wearing the khaki uniform in that film.
Khan has also played an Air Force officer in ‘Veer-Zaara’ (2004), a major in ‘Main Hoon Na’ (2004) and a Navy officer in ‘Bhootnath’ (2008). However, he did not wear a khaki uniform in any of these films.
Khan has played a soldier in several films, including his debut TV series ‘Fauji’ (1989), ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ (2012) and ‘Pathaan’ (2023), However, he only wore a jungle uniform in Fauji and Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
King Khan’s fans are excited to see him in a cop uniform for the first time. It is set to open to a thunderous start at the box office. The film has already sold over 150,000 tickets in the two biggest national multiplex chains in India, PVR and INOX, for its opening day on Thursday, September 7, 2023.
The film has also seen brisk sales in Cinepolis theatres, with over 25,000 tickets sold so far. This is just for the opening day and it is clear that Jawan is already generating a lot of excitement among fans.
Directed by Atlee and produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, ‘Jawan’ also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya and Deepika Padukone in a cameo.
