Shah Rukh Khan might have the titles like ‘The Baadshah of Bollywood’, ‘The King Of Romance’, ‘King Khan’ and all that but it is no hidden secret that the actor hasn’t had tasted the flavour of commercial success in a while.
Unfortunately, all his films in the last few years after ‘Happy New Year’ hasn’t worked in the box office. Although ‘Happy New Year’ was a commercial success, it didn’t receive much critical acclaim.
‘Fan’ (2016), ‘Raees’ (2017) and ‘Zero’ (2018) haven’t worked, which has left Shah Rukh Khan in a spot of bother before selecting his next one. There were several speculations of him signing films which gave birth to more rumors.
But to put all rumours to rest, Shah Rukh Khan in his conversation with ‘Filmfare’ recently cleared that he hasn’t signed any films after ‘Zero’ as he only wants to watch films, read and spend time with the kids.
“I have no film with me right now. I am not working on any film. Usually what happens is when your one film is coming to an end, you begin work on your next film and I get involved within 3-4 months. But this time I am just not feeling like…My heart doesn’t allow me to..I just felt that I should rather take time out, watch films, listen to stories and read more books. Even my kids are in their college stage…my daughter is going to college and my son is about to finish his studies. So I just want to spend more time with my family.”
Well, given the fan following and stardom that Shah Rukh Khan still commands, his fans and admirers would definitely be hoping and praying for him that he gets whatever that he hankers for and also gets a big hit which will bring him in the commercial business.
