Producer Ritesh Sidhwani recently announced that Farhan Akhtar is working on the script of ‘Don 3’ and it has been rumoured that Shah Rukh Khan may reprise his role as the Don in the film’s third edition. However, it is learnt that the actor will not be appearing in the film’s finale edition and has decided to step out from the film.
Excel Entertainment’s two partners, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, have had numerous discussions with Shah Rukh Khan regarding ‘Don 3’, but reportedly, he does not want to be a part of this franchise film. According to reports, SRK was keen to be a part of such a movie. As per reports, Akhtar will now approach another actor to play the lead part in the film.
Reportedly, Farhan Akhtar wanted to cast Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and a new generation actor to play the lead roles in ‘Don 3’.
As Shah Rukh Khan has left the film, sources say that negotiations with another star are now underway. Farhan Akhtar is currently in the midst of pre-production for ‘Jee Le Zaraa’, starring Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif in leading roles.
