The nominations of the 29th Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, which will honour the best movie and TV performances of 2022, were announced today, on January 11. It also came to light with the announcement that the Award show will be streamed live on Netflix, globally.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, SAG-AFTRA National Executive Director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland stated, “We are thrilled to embark on this exciting new partnership with Netflix and we look forward to expanding the global audience for our show. As the only televised awards program exclusively honouring the performances of actors, whose work is admired by millions of fans, the SAG Awards are a unique and cherished part of the entertainment universe.”
The 29th Screen Actors Guild Awards 2023 will be held at Los Angeles and is also scheduled to be premiered on February 26 at 8 pm. Netflix has agreed to stream the show on its YouTube Channel.
