Sanjay Dutt’s career has been boosted by the massive success of ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’ (2022). Since then, Sanjay has committed to three more South Indian films and is currently working on at least five more Hindi projects. And according to reports, he has expanded his already full schedule to include one more project.
As per a renowned website, Sanjay Dutt has now signed a patriotic film, ‘Vande Mataram’. The movie will be a riveting thriller inspired by true events that tells the extraordinary, little-known account of a rescue effort by the Indian Armed Forces. In this ensemble cast drama, Marathi actor Akash Thosar, best known for ‘Sairat’ (2016), has been cast as the parallel lead with Dutt. Shashank Raai, who has largely worked as a supervising producer on TV dramas such as ‘Qubool Hai’ (2012), ‘Siya Ke Ram’ (2015) and ‘Yeh Kahaan Aa Gaye Hum’ (2015), will direct the film, while Pinaka Studios, which co-produced MX Player’s ‘Raktanchal’ (2020), will finance the project. Shashank has previously directed the Bhojpuri film ‘Sher Singh’ (2019) and ‘Country Mafia’ (2022), a ZEE5 political vengeance thriller.
Pre-production on the film has already begun, and the filming is set to begin in the second half of this year.
