Nargis Dutt died 42 years ago on this day, on May 3, 1981, following a battle with pancreatic cancer. She passed away just five days before Sanjay Dutt was about to make his Bollywood debut with ‘Rocky’ (1981). Nargis featured in several popular films in her career, which spanned from ’40s till the ’60s. She was the late actor and politician Sunil Dutt’s wife.
