Earlier in 2020, Sanjay Dutt made headlines as he was diagnosed with lung cancer and flew abroad for treatment. It was reported that he was battling stage three cancer. After being discharged from abroad, he was taking treatment from Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital and took a long gap from work. He is the son of the legendary actress and politician Nargis, who was also passed away due to pancreatic cancer in 1981. She was a very famous and popular actress in the ‘40s era.
After the successful treatment of lung cancer, Sanjay Dutt has become the face of cancer awareness many a times. He had previously become part of NCD Foundation to spread awareness about the treatment. He posted the news on his Twitter and said that he feels honoured to be a part of the initiative. The actor expressed his thoughts about the cost of the treatment and discussed about how one can get better treatment who are less fortunate.

Recently, Dutt has again became the face of a new foundation named Lylon Precision Oncology specifically for lung cancer awareness. The webinar event is going to held on 28th November. He posted the news on Twitter and said he feels always great and honoured to work towards something good.
