The soundtrack of ‘Sanak’ is featured under Zee Music Company composed by Chirantan Bhatt and Jeet Gannguli. The action thriller has four tracks, one of which is a remake of an old Bollywood song with the same name. ‘Sanak’ stars Vidyut Jammwal and Rukmini Maitra and uses one romantic emotional track to present their love.
“O Yaara Dil Lagana” is the remake of the original song by Kavita Krishnamurthy, composed by Nadeem–Shravan and written by Sameer Anjaan from the movie ‘Agni Sakshi’ (1996). Like all remakes, this song too is full of upbeats and loud music. Stebin Ben and Deeksha Toor sang it but no matter how beautiful their voice is, the electronic beats ruined its charm. There is nothing good about this remake and if one has heard the original song then this is far from impressive. Manoj Yadav tries to spice it up with certain modifications in the lyrics but the tune doesn’t let any spark happen.
Voiced by Jubin Nautiyal and Shreya Ghoshal in two separate versions, “Suna Hai” is a cliched composition of Jeet Ganguly. Both Jubin Nautiyal and Shreya Ghoshal are one of the best singers in the industry, yet there was nothing magical in this track. It is a track that is so common to the ears and lacks freshness or charm. The lyrics are written by Rashmi Virag.
Raj Barman’s “Ankhein Mili” is the savior of this music album. The song starts with very few beats of guitar and electronic fusion music and maintains that throughout. Manoj Yadav writes the lyrics and has done it better than the other songs. Although it doesn’t have a lasting impact on the listeners, it is the only song that you can hear twice from the album.
One doesn’t expect many songs from an action thriller but doesn’t expect such a major setback either. The lyrics too didn’t have any spark in them. The album is nothing exceptional and it feels that one has heard these tunes in songs previously. Overall the album was flat unlike any Vipul Amrutlal Shah film.
