Putting India on the global map one step higher each time, South star Jr NTR bagged the Best Actor nomination in an Action Movie category at the Critics Choice Super Awards 2023. The pan-Indian star, who soared to global dominance with his performance in S S Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ (2022) is absolutely deserving in every way. Jr NTR’s performance as Komaram Bheem delivered goosebumps to all Indian artists and performers, shattering a decades-old glass ceiling.
The Critics Choice Association (CCA) unveiled the nominees for the 3rd edition of annual Critics Choice Super Awards last night. Winners for the same will be released on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
Jr NTR’s performances have always been spectacular, and action-packed; filled with unforgettable set pieces that have been loved by millions of fans worldwide. An Indian revolutionary hero which is very hard to forget, Global Superstar Jr NTR has time and again outdone himself leaving a watermark in our memory. Hard to forget him racing through the jungle and roaring back to the tiger!
‘RRR,’ as a magnum opus, has previously won a Golden Globe for Best Original Song for ‘Naatu Naatu’, in which Jr NTR danced his heart out, among a slew of other international accolades. ‘Naatu Naatu’ is also nominated for the Oscars this year. The winning streak continues as ‘RRR’ is also nominated for Best Action Movie at the Critics’ Choice Super Awards.
Up next, Jr NTR will be seen in ‘NTR 30’, which is directed by Koratala Siva. He will also be working with ‘KGF’ (2018) director Prashanth Neel on ‘NTR 31’.
