Since several months, the news of Rohit Shetty’s next venture ‘Singham Again’ has been making rounds on the internet. It is obvious that Ajay Devgn will reprise his role of Bajirao Singham. During the promotions of ‘Cirkus’ (2022), Rohit Shetty dramatically and unexpectedly announced that Deepika Padukone will also feature in the film.
Recently, ‘Singham Again’ was in the news yet again when Rohit Shetty visited Mauritius to scout locations for the action entertainer. Shetty also met Mauritius Prime Minister, Pravind Jugnauth. He was accompanied by the Minister of Arts and Cultural Heritage, Avinash Teeluck and the director of the Mauritius Film Development Corporation, Vikram Jootun. The Prime Minister took to Facebook and shared details and pictures of the meeting.
According to lexpress.mu, Rohit Shetty said that the meeting was quite fruitful, especially when it comes to the film industry. “I am really happy to have spoken to him about the expansion of Indian cinema and other related infrastructure in Mauritius, as well as the support they can provide to filmmakers”, the director stated.
Rohit Shetty has been in Mauritius since July 24 and returned to India on July 27.
Rohit Shetty is not only famous in India, but also worldwide as a mass entertainer. Shetty is also known for making his own Cop Universe. This Cop Universe consists of massive commercially successful films like ‘Singham’ (2011), ‘Singham Returns’ (2014), ‘Simmba’ (2018) and ‘Sooryavanshi’ (2021).
However, apart from Ajay Devgn and Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar are rumoured to be seen in ‘Singham Again’. Rohit Shetty will begin shooting for the film in October this year.
While talking about ‘Singham Again’, Rohit Shetty told Pinkvilla, “I am excited because you will see a different Singham in the film this time. It’s huge, the script has turned out well. It’s unique and it is the most loved character that I know. I am excited that Ajay and I are coming back together on ‘Singham Again’.”
