‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ has been making rounds from past one year on the internet. Ever since Karan Johar announced the news of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s collaboration and dropped the motion posters on his 51st birthday, the internet was filled with several speculations about the story and the chemistry between the two stars. And why won’t it be! After all Karan Johar has come back to the director’s seat, after a long eight years of break. His last directorial was ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ (2016).
If it’s a Karan Johar’s film, undoubtedly it will be a dreamy Bollywood romance story. Although ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ was a little different as the story focused on depressing one sided love, this time with ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem’, you can hope for a classic ‘90s romance with a modern day touch in it.
This is the second time Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt have collaborated as the leads. Previously in the coming-of-age musical drama ‘Gully Boy’ (2019), the duo played a rough and tough, rowdy couple. This time, we are quite curious to watch Singh and Bhatt’s soft romantic side.

Today Dharma Productions has finally dropped the much awaited teaser of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. The 1-minute-16-seconds long teaser exhibits Ranveer and Alia’s epic love story, featuring big family dramas, misunderstandings, fights, dancing and romancing in the mountains and snows with an Arijit Singh’s song in the background and lots more. The on-screen chemistry between Ranveer and Alia has awed the fans all over the internet.
‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ also features big veteran stars like Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi as the family members. Apart from them, it also has renowned actors from the Bengali film industry like Tota Roy Chowdhury and Saswata Chatterjee in pivotal roles. The film has been shot across New Delhi, Mumbai, Russia and Jammu & Kashmir.
Backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ will be releasing soon worldwide on July 28, 2023.
