The renowned drama ‘Riverdale’, one of the most watched series on Netflix, is all set to conclude with its 7th Season, which was first premiered in 2017. It’s a story about Archie, Betty, Jughead and Veronica, who tackle being teenagers in a town that is rife with sinister happenings and blood-thirsty criminals.
The CW broadcasting company has recently announced the news on social media that the popular series will debut its 7th and final Season at midseason in 2023. ‘Riverdale’ has proved to be one of the major hit shows for the company with solid ratings and later, became a huge breakout after it started streaming on Netflix. It has aired 109 episodes till date with 6 Seasons, as of March 15, 2022.
‘Riverdale’s story is based on The Archie Comics’ world, where the characters are dealing with murder, sex, drugs and much more in the town of Riverdale. Characters like Archie is played by KJ Apa, Betty played by Lili Reinhart, Veronica is played by Camila Mendes, Jughead is played by Cole Sprouse, Cheryl is played by Madelaine Petsch, Alice is played by Mädchen Amick, Reggie is played by Charles Melton and Toni is played by Venessa Morgan with Luke Perry starring as Archie’s father, until his death in 2019.
Chairman of The CW company, Mark Pedowitz stated, “I’m a big believer in giving series that have long runs an appropriate sendoff. We want to make sure it goes out the right way.”
