In the ’90s, action dramas mixed with a sprinkle of romance was quite favourite among audiences. Hence, if any new actor got the lucky chance to kick start their career with such storyline, their career was destined to be successful. And that’s exactly what happened with Vicky Arora.

Vicky Arora made his Bollywood debut with Feroz Khan directorial ‘Yalgaar’ (1992), where he also got the big chance to work with Sanjay Dutt, Kabir Bedi, Mukesh Khanna and Manisha Koirala. Vicky Arora is one such anonymous actor who became hugely popular after ‘Yalgaar’s release. Hence it was expected that Vicky’s career will touch new heights.

But did you know, unlike his other contemporaries, Vicky couldn’t even get a single chance to pursue his career anymore after ‘Yalgaar’? Leaving people clueless about his whereabouts, Vicky vanished from the industry. Despite Vicky’s outstanding dance moves in the song “Ho Jaata Hai Kaise Pyar” which became a huge hit, the young actor couldn’t get any chance further.

Vicky Arora was brought up in Mumbai as Jaideep Arora. Due to his good looks and charming personality, he got the chance for modelling from many renowned companies right away. It’s been heard that, back then the ‘Jaanbaz’ (1986) director was searching for the lead actor for ‘Yalgaar’ but after getting rejected from the three Khans of Bollywood, Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir, the flamboyant director decided to cast a newcomer.

Interestingly, Feroz Khan’s daughter Laila Khan was a classmate of Vicky Arora in college and she referred his name to her father. It is said that Vicky’s good looks and spontaneous behaviour caught Khan’s attention mainly. This turned out to be a significant opportunity for Vicky as he grabbed the chance with both hands and delivered an impressive performance in his very debut.

No wonder, it was a great performance with such energetic nature of Vicky.

However, the exact reason for Vicky’s getting vanished is not known yet. Some reports say Feroz Khan was not satisfied with his acting skills as he failed to show various expressions. It is also heard that Vicky’s voice lacked power, hence the director once thought to dub his dialogues which was a big turn off. But after the success of ‘Yalgaar’, Vicky did get several chances to work with other producers and directors, but due to his contract with Feroz Khan, he couldn’t sign other projects.

After some time Vicky’s relationship with Feroz Khan also became bitter which caused his career to go down. Eventually Vicky Arora vanished from the industry and anonymously living somewhere in the world, far from Bollywood.
