Raveena Tandon has made her OTT debut with the Netflix original series ‘Aryanak’ recently. She plays the role of a bold, fierce cop who is also a protective mother trying to balance her work and home life. She is appreciated for her Himachali accent and the way she fits into the role of Kasturi.
Raveena stated that she chose this series as her debut because it is a crime thriller and she is a huge fan of this genre. According to Raveena, the series has some strong female supporting characters which is its strength.
Raveena stepped into the world of cinema in GP Sippy’s ‘Pathar Ke Phool’ (1991) paired with Salman Khan. Her digital debut was from the Sippy’s again. Produced by Rohan Sippy and directed by Vinay Waikul, Raveena is paired with Parambrata Chatterjee.
She was at the peak of her career in the ’90s and has given the industry many acclaimed movies such as ‘Dulhe Raja’ (1998), ‘Shool’ (1999), ‘Agni Varsha’ (2002), ‘Satta’ (2003). She is even graced with the National Award for ‘Daman’ (2001). Her last film was ‘Shab’ in 2017.
‘Aryanak’ was released on 10th December and has received great reviews from fans.
