Radio Nasha has been consistently promoting women empowerment and continues to celebrate women achievers every year through their flagship awards. Every year, in March around Women’s Day, RJ Rohini celebrated and applauded the finest journeys of the most inspiring women in our country to the fore at Radio Nasha Heroini Awards 2023.
In its 5th edition this year, the evergreen Raveena Tandon has made it to the illustrious list. RJ Rohini said, “As a woman in media, I know the challenges faced by women from across industries and decided to present a series of interviews where we talk about the real stuff like when Sonali Bendre Bahl told me about that phase when she lost her hair when was battling cancer, I had goosebumps. I believe bringing these stories to the forefront will serve as great inspiration to our listeners”. These stories are unique and goes beyond just entertainment. Through this initiative, Radio Nasha is building lasting conversations with these amazing Heroinis’.
Raveen Tandon shared, “I am honoured by this recognition. I believe every woman is a diva in herself at whatever she chooses to do in her life. Every woman overcomes her shortcomings and emerges as a diva everyday. Radio Nasha is doing a noteworthy job acknowledging the contribution of women in our country. I would like to applaud every woman rising above all the odds and taking a step closer to living the life of her dreams. A determined woman can do everything that she aspires to do so no matter the obstacles, and this honour celebrates every such woman who wants to break out of the shell and conquer the world right from the one who wants to excel in her career to the one who is giving it her all while raising the family.”
“Heroini awards are a special Women’s Day initiative that strengthens the relationship between female achievers and their viewers and supporters. Kudos to ‘Radio Ki Heroini Rohini’ show for bringing all these stalwarts together. I feel an ideal celebration of Women’s Day is investing time in being a role model for women around the world participating in activities promoting women empowerment and girls’ education,” said Uorfi Javed.
Ila Arun added, “I had only heard of Heroine – but Heroini (reminds me of Rohini) and makes me look at the word differently. Women struggle even today, either because of their own lack of conviction, or societal pressures. Women have to keep working hard to ensure that this word ‘struggle’ is removed from our lives.”
The other awardees include Shipra Khanna, Sarala S Chakraborty, Nirmika Singh. The event would be broadcasted across radio, digital on Radio Nasha official handles.
