Ranveer Singh is enjoying an all-time high in his career and for all the right reasons. The man has been street smart and selective in his approach towards scripts’ selection and movies and hence it shows.
He is that one actor who has grown like anything in the last two years. The period dramas with Sanjay Leela Bhansali have given his career the kind of shape many won’t even dare to dream. But Ranveer dreamt, worked and did it too.
2018 was the most magnificent year for Ranveer Singh and he has started 2019 with a bang as well. If ‘Padmaavat’ and ‘Simmbaa’ weren’t enough for him to garner new fans as well as appreciation, ‘Gully Boy’ was surely there to do the trick.
And now, the actor is all sorted and ready to work on his next, ’83’ where he plays the role of the eminent, Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan’s next which will show the journey of how the 1983 Indian Cricket Team went ahead to conquer all odds and win the 1983 Prudential Cup.
With the kind of work Ranveer has done over the years, one would feel this movie will be a cakewalk for him too. But the actor is known for not taking things lightly and casually. Henceforth, he has started training for the film already and trying his best to get into the skin of the character he will be playing.
However, much to the contrary, Ranveer had something else to say at the recently held ‘HT Most Stylish Awards 2019’ where he received an award from the man himself whom he will be playing next on celluloid, Kapil Dev.
Ranveer addressed to Kapil Dev and the audience, “I don’t really know how will I be able to play this legend of a man. I am trying my best to look like you sir. I am working on this moustache as well and have also started training. But I am really nervous as to how I will be able to play your character sir. I hope I am able to do a good job and do justice to your character and make you feel proud.”
Well, Ranveer, you might be doubting yourself or feel indifferent as to you play Kapil Dev. But we are surely confident that once again, you will do wonders with your next as well. Best wishes to you and the entire cast and crew of ’83’.
