We got a very interesting story to go with. Rani Mukerji can be seen again in the film ‘Mardaani 3’. The actress said if a good script is available, she is ready to play the cop again.

Rani Mukerji’s recent release ‘Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway’ (2023) has proved to be a decent grosser at the box office. In the film, Rani was seen playing the role of a mother who fights against all odds to get the custody of her child.

Meanwhile, the actress has shared a big update on the franchise of her hit film ‘Mardaani’ (2014). She said, “Yes, I really want to play Shivani Shivaji Roy again, but it all depends on the script and if we get a very interesting story to go with the third instalment, I think it would be perfect to come back as Shivani as I too enjoy playing this role, I feel.”

“I look at films around the world – what’s coming and what kind of work people are doing. I will always like to be associated with films and stories that I feel people should know about”, Rani further added.

The foundation of the ‘Mardaani’ series was laid by late director Pradeep Sarkar, who directed the first part. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the film featured Rani Mukerji as a fearless police officer, Shivani Shivaji Roy. The second part, ‘Mardaani 2’ (2019) was directed by Gopi Puthran.
