Filmmaking is a team effort and an actor always wants to work with people who would be cooperative, accommodating and work without any fuss. Rahul Bagga, while working on his upcoming film ‘Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho’, had to bear the tantrums of a moody co-star.
The co-star was none other than the buffalo who plays a pivotal role in the film.
“There were times when the buffalo was not in a mood to face the camera. We all had to wait patiently for her to turn up for the shoot,” he reminisces.
While he maintains that it was a fun experience working on the film, sharing screen with an animal could prove to be difficult.
“It would be hard to convince her to act in a particular way. For instance, if one asked her to sit down for a particular sequence, she would keep standing and vice versa. There is an idiom in Hindi that goes ‘Gayi bhains paani mein’ (there goes the buffalo in the water). Once, we were shooting in a pond and the buffalo was supposed to be there in the water as well. We managed to get her inside the pond but then, she refused to come out of it”, he says with a laugh.
Directed by Vinod Kapri, ‘Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho’ is set to release on June 26, 2015.
