“Pyar Kiya To Nibhana” from ‘Major Saab’ (1998) is a beautiful and soulful ballad about the power of love. The lyrics by Anand Raj Anand and Dev Kohli are simple but effective and the melody by Anand Raj Anand is catchy and memorable. The vocals of Anuradha Paudwal (as she was singing in all T-Series projects) and the always dependable Udit Narayan are apt and they bring a lot of emotion to the song.
It is a beautifully picturized romantic number. Ajay Devgn and Sonali Bendre look absolutely cute together. The song’s romantic melody throughout creates a strong sense of romance in the scene.
Anand Raj Anand, the music director, does not disappoint. He was churning out fresh tunes in those days and this song is no exception.
“Pyar Kiya Toh Nibhana” was first recreated in 2017 by Armaan Malik and Shruti Pathak. It was then recreated again in 2021 by Jonita Gandhi, Millind Gaba and Abhijeet Vaghani for the T-Series Mixtape. It is so popular that in less than 5 years, it got two recreations.
