During a recent trip to Delhi, Pulkit Samrat decided to go on a food walk and revisit some of his favourite eateries he frequented while growing up in Ashok Vihar. The ‘Fukrey’ (2013) actor described it as a Delhi-cious trip and revealed that it’s not just the food but also the culture and history of the city that made the walk so memorable.

Chacha Ke Chole Bhature, Kamla Nagar
One of the oldest haunts for students and young professionals, it serves the best chole bhature (even stuffed bhature) and cold lassi in old Delhi.
Al Nawaaz, Jamia Nagar
If you want to relish traditional Mughlai delights in a comfortable and unfussy environment, then this is the place. Dishes to sample are biryani, chicken barra, khamiri roti and Afghani chicken.
Baljeet’s Amritsari Koolcha, Paschim Vihar
One of the few thali places in the city, do try the mix Amritsari kulcha thali and paneer pyaaz Amritsari kulcha thali here.
Rajinder Da Dhaba, Safdarjung Enclave
One of the iconic food joints, they have popularised dhaba cuisine in the city. Dahi kebab, chicken barra kebabs, butter chicken malai tikka, chicken curry and lachcha paratha are some of the best-selling dishes here.
Alkauser, Chanakyapuri
Established in 1896, this eatery is credited for serving the best kakori kebabs. Having branches in several parts of Delhi now, some of the other popular dishes here are mutton shahi qorma, murgh lababdar and galouti Kebabs.
