Producer Deepak Mukut of Soham Rockstar Entertainment is known to have his name associated with some revolutionary projects that tackle serious issues in the society in an entertaining and informative way. While he has backed a poignant film like ‘Mulk’ (2018) as a producer, at the same time he has also been the hand behind the entertaining ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’ (2017). Up ahead, he has a diverse and busy slate of films under his wings, and the producer has added another gem to that with his latest announcement of ‘Palatwar’.
Backed by Deepak and co-produced by Hunar Mukut, ‘Palatwar’ is being touted as a high-octane thriller with its story revolving around ego, vengeance and regret. It is being directed by debutant Divyansh Pandit, who has also penned the film’s story alongside Aamir Bengali and Amrita Mody. The music of the film is being scored by composer duo Ajay-Atul, who have earlier given music for films like ‘Panipat’ (2019), ‘Super 30’ (2019) and ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ (2020).
Talking about this film, Deepak says, “ ‘Palatwar’ is an amazing story that is really close to my heart and ever since I read its script, I couldn’t wait to announce it. Even though we have ‘Dhaakad’s release around the corner, we just couldn’t hold back our excitement and share this big news with the world. We are working really hard to get everything right for this project and we already have one of the best creators and music composers on board. We are now going to embark on the casting for the film and it will be done keeping the characters and the requirements of the script in mind. Whether it will feature newcomers or seasoned stars, we will decide on it as we proceed further, but I assure the audience that this will be a special story that they all will love.”
As for his upcoming line up, Deepak has ‘Dhaakad’ up for release next which features Kangana Ranaut in the lead as Agent Agni. Post that, he has ‘Forensic’ with Vikrant Massey and Radhika Apte, which he will follow with one of his biggest and most-awaited films, ‘Apne 2’, which will mark the coming together of three generations of the Deol family on screen, Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and the newest actor in the family, Sunny Deol’s son, Karan Deol.
