There is much excitement surrounding our very own desi (Indian) girl, Priyanka Chopra joining forces with the cult classic ‘The Matrix Resurrections’. Yet another feather to the actress’ hat, fans are waiting with bated breath to see what their favourite star has in store for them.
Known for always representing India on the global stage, Priyanka Chopra will once again be seen keeping her Indian-ness alive in ‘The Matrix Resurrections’. Clad in a dhoti (Indian traditional costume) in the film’s poster, Priyanka Chopra exudes the desi culture while also giving off a cyberpunk, futuristic warrior vibe.
A source revealed, “Priyanka has always been proud of her Indian heritage and likes to keep a glimmer of her Indian culture alive in all the characters she plays. Even in ‘The Matrix Resurrections’, her outfit and hair, exude a desi vibe. They have used saree borders in her outfits and the pants she wears in the poster have been made to resemble a dhoti.”
Even for the promotions of the film, Priyanka has been seen donning a long plait, typical to her Indian culture.
