Born in Dorgheda, Ireland, Pierce Brosnan began his career as commercial illustrator and attended Drama Centre in London for three years. Being a stage actor, Brosnan rose to fame with TV series ‘Remington Steele’ (1982-1987). As soon as the series completed, the actor got several offers of film projects in the same year like ‘The Fourth Protocol’ (1987) and ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ (1993).
Pierce Brosnan first appeared as James Bond in the year 1995 with ‘Golden Eye’ and soon achieved worldwide fame. After that, he has appeared three times in James Bond film series like ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’ (1997), ‘The World Is Not Enough’ (1999) and ‘Die Another Day’ (2002).

Pierce Brosnan was married to Australian actress, Cassandra Harris in 1980. Later she passed away in 1991 at the age of 43 due to ovarian cancer. They had three children, – Charlotte Brosnan, who also passed away due to ovarian cancer in 2013, Sean Brosnan and Christopher Brosnan. Pierce met journalist, Keely Shaya Smith during a trip to Mexico in 1994 and later they got married in 2001. Brosnan and Smith have got two children together, Paris Brosnan and Dylan Brosnan.
