In September 2020, it was reported that Pawan Kalyan and Harish Shankar are returning to celluloid with an action drama. The film then was titled ‘Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh’ but due to some unforeseen reasons, it went on hold.
Last year, it was announced that Pawan Kalyan and director Harish Shankar were keen to revive the much-awaited film soon.
The film, which was earlier titled as ‘Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh’, was officially launched on December 11, 2022, with a new title, ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’.
The shooting was supposed to commence in January, but it got delayed due to Pawan Kalyan’s political commitments.
But now we hear that director Harish Shankar is ready to go ahead and take the long-delayed action drama film ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ on the floor with Pawan Kalyan.
Reportedly, the much-awaited film will begin shooting on April 5 this year.
It was speculated that ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ is a remake of the Tamil film ‘Their’ (2016), which had Thalapathy Vijay in lead role and was directed by Atlee Kumar, but director Harish Shankar clarified that his film with Pawan Kalyan is a fresh story and not a remake.
The movie will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers, and Rockstar DSP has been confirmed to compose the music for the film.
‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ marks the second collaboration between Pawan Kaylan and Harish Shankar. The duo previously worked on ‘Gabbar Singh’ (2012), which was a remake of Salman Khan-starred ‘Dabangg’ (2010).
Pawan Kalyan, meanwhile, is currently working on multiple films. He has been shooting for an untitled film with Sai Dharam Tej and will resume the shoot of the period action drama ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ soon.
