After dating for a few months, Parineeti Chopra and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha got engaged in a private ceremony on Saturday, May 13. It was held in Delhi and was graced by 150 people, including family members and political persons. Raghav and Parineeti both posted engagement photos on their respective Instagram handles.
While Raghav wore an ivory achkan from designer Pawan Sachdeva’s collection for the auspicious occasion, Parineeti wore a pastel peach outfit designed by Manish Malhotra.
The cousin of Parineeti, Priyanka Chopra, too made a spectacular entrance at the engagement ceremony. In her striking yellow saree and corset blouse, she was radiating beauty and also posed with Parineeti’s father Pawan Chopra and her brother Siddharth Chopra.
Among the guests were Congress politician P Chidambaram, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Derek O’Brien, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Congress leader Kapil Sibal.
As per the Sikh customs, the ceremony began at 5 pm with a Sukhmani Sahib Path and ended at 6 pm with Ardas.
The actress expressed her happiness on Instagram and wrote, “I prayed for….I said Yes !”
