Olivia Newton-John, who rose to fame with renowned ‘70s film, ‘Grease’ (1978), passed away yesterday, August 8 at the age of 73. ‘Grease’ is one of the most popular musical romance of that generation. The lead roles, Danny Zuko (John Travolta) and Sandy Olsson (Olivia Newton-John) are still most cherished.
Olivia Newton-John took her last breath at her home in Southern California. Her death was announced on social media by saying that she passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends.
Born in Cambridge, UK, Olive Newton-John was actually a well-known singer, apart from being an actor. She was one of the top singers in the ‘70s and ‘80s. She own four times Grammy Awards for her spectacular songs. According to previous reports, she was suffering from breast cancer, which totally spread to her back and that made her cancel several concerts back then. She had also underwent partial mastectomy.
