On Saturday morning, February 18, Netflix and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali made a massive announcement. The digital platform announced their most ambitious project, ‘Heeramandi’, a magnum opus web series, which will be on air soon. Set in the times of the pre-Independence era, the show will explore life story of three generations of courtesans in Heeramandi.
The makers launched the show at an event on Saturday where the cast and crew of the show attended the event and made the announcement special.

The show is made on a massive budget and on a lavish scale and will be a multi-starrer for which they have got a massive star cast, which features Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal and Sanjeeda Shaikh.
‘Heeramandi’ is produced, written and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and is presented by Netflix.
